Shannon Luboyeski: Certified Veterinary Technician
Shannon Luboyeski

Shannon Luboyeski is originally from the Boston, MA area, and has grown up around animals and horses her whole life. She began riding and taking lessons at six years old, and by high school was spending every day after school at the barn or riding along on farm calls with the local vet in Connecticut. She attended Elon College in NC with a biology and pre-veterinary concentration, and for the next 10 years was lucky enough to work with various species, veterinarians, and clinical settings both internationally and in the New England area. This included helping to set up a new functional equine surgical suite and clinic in the West Bank and studying blood-born parasites in camel herds in the Middle East, to starting a therapeutic riding program in Jordan and Egypt, to working as a vet tech doing Large and Small Animal treatments and anesthesia at Tufts University of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, MA, along with various private practices along the way.

Shannon is certified as a veterinary technician in the state of Massachusetts, and a Surgical Research Anesthetist through the Academy of Surgical Research. Her main career focus is now surgical support and anesthesia, where she works full time as a Critical Care Manager for research animals in Boston. She is excited to get back into a veterinary technical position working with horses, and to join the team at South Shore Equine Clinic.

Shannon and her fiancé just purchased a home in Halifax, with her OTTB, Alex, whom she adopted from the MSCPA two years ago, and their seven month old silver lab, Tuuka. In her spare time, Shannon loves staying active - spending time outside riding, at the beach, reading, or with friends and family on Cape Cod.
